What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and report on the implementation of e-Disclosure prescripts for SMS Members and other categories.
  • Review and contribute to the development of Fraud Prevention and Anti-Corruption Policies.
  • Ensure compliance and report on conflicts of interest, including acceptance of gifts and remuneration for work outside the public service.
  • Conduct ethics awareness initiatives and provide input on ethics risk assessments.
  • Support the Ethics Governance Structure meetings and monitor the implementation of Lifestyle Audits.
  • Supervise and develop staff to enhance the department’s capacity in ethics management.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma in Public Administration or an equivalent qualification at NQF level 6, as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Integrity and Ethics Management, with at least one year at a supervisory level.
  • Knowledge of the e-Disclosure system and relevant ethics management frameworks.
  • Certification as an Ethics Officer is an advantage, along with a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong understanding of the RSA Constitution, Public Service Act, and relevant directives related to ethics management.
