What You’ll Do

  • Finalize grievances and complaints received from employees within the department.
  • Process and conclude all misconduct cases effectively.
  • Coordinate representation of the department in disputes at the Public Service Sectoral Bargaining Council and the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration.
  • Develop and manage information and records related to all activities in the employment relations section.
  • Oversee the finalization of disciplinary cases within the department.
  • Manage resources efficiently within the employment relations section.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma (NQF6) or an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree (NQF7) in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations, or LLB.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • A minimum of four years’ experience, including two years at a supervisory level and two years in Employment Relations services.
  • Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Public Service Act, and other relevant legislation.
  • Strong management, problem-solving, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in interpreting legislation/policies and effective verbal and written communication.
