What You’ll Do

  • Design and produce various corporate communication materials, such as posters, brochures, and annual reports.
  • Manage the department’s corporate brand compliance and ensure proper use of logos on promotional materials.
  • Create and oversee digital assets for social media platforms, enhancing the department’s online presence.
  • Coordinate media coverage for departmental events and assist in organizing press conferences and networking sessions with the media.
  • Develop and implement communication policies and strategies to broaden public participation and engagement.
  • Produce news stories, videos, and images for internal and external publications, promoting departmental programs and events.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and maintain a media monitoring plan.

What You’ll Need

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 06/07) in Media Studies, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in Communications, Digital Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or Events Management.
  • Valid driver’s license (unless you have a disability).
  • Strong knowledge of communication policies, legislative frameworks, and event management principles.
  • Excellent digital communication skills, including proficiency in graphic design software, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
