What You’ll Do
- Approve and oversee the development of electronic records management systems.
- Conduct audits of existing electronic records management systems to ensure compliance.
- Compile, update, and distribute guides and directives related to records management.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration regarding records management processes.
- Assist in strategic planning for the improvement of archival services.
What You’ll Need
- A 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree in Information Management Systems or a related field.
- A valid Code B driving licence (people with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but have reasonable access to transport may also apply).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures of the Western Cape Archives and Records Service.
- Understanding of public management practices in South Africa and internationally.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and proven computer literacy.
- Competence in research, problem-solving, and analytical thinking; presentation skills are advantageous.
- A postgraduate qualification in Archival Studies would be beneficial.

Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Legislation, policies and procedures of the Western Cape Archives and Records Service; Public Management practices in SA and in other countries; Financial Management and Supply Chain Management Services; Public Service reporting structures; Strategic planning; Meeting procedures; It will be advantageous to have a Post Graduate Qualification in Archival Studies.
