What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate functional training sessions for law students and professionals.
  • Contribute to the revision and development of existing and new course curricula.
  • Create and provide inputs on study materials for legal education.
  • Present training and compile reports on the effectiveness of training provided.
  • Offer insights on legal matters and contribute to discussions on case law and legislation.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating practices and procedures within the legal registration framework.
  • Conduct research on relevant legislation and legal practices to support training initiatives.
  • Provide advice and support in response to inquiries from clients and stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Law / Deeds Registration Law (NQF Level 6) / Buris / B Proc / LLB or a relevant equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Junior Examiner or Conveyancer.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of the Deeds Registries Act, Sectional Titles Act, and other related legal frameworks.
  • Proficiency in computer software and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to present confidently and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

Minimum requirements: Applicants must be in a possession of a Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Law / Deeds Registration Law (NQF Level 6) / Buris / B Proc / LLB or relevant equivalent qualification.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Junior Examiner / Conveyancer.

A valid driver’s licence.

Job related knowledge: Knowledge in the interpretation and application of the Deeds Registries Act.

Knowledge in the interpretation and application of the Sectional Titles Act.

Knowledge in the interpretation and application of other 62 acts, ordinances, proclamations, directives, case law and common law pertaining to registration of deeds.

Knowledge of deeds registration practice and procedures.

Job Duties

Facilitate functional training.

Provide inputs on revision and development of curricular for existing and new courses.

Make inputs on study materials.

Present training.

Provide inputs on the compilation of evaluation and submit to supervisor.

Compile a presenter’s report on training provided.

Provide inputs on legal matter.

Provide comments on case law, legislation and circulars.

Provide inputs at registrars conference and amendments to Deeds Registration Acts and Sectional Title Deeds Acts.

Draft articles for publications.

Provide advice on enquiries received from both internal and external clients.

Provide support in monitoring and evaluating uniformity in practices and procedures.

Provide inputs on Quality Management System and relevant training aspects.

Conduct research on training / legislation / case law / practices and procedures.

Analyse information provided.

Research on the latest practices and procedure.

Compile research report.

Salary

R487 197 per annum (Level 09)
