What You’ll Do
- Barcode new assets and update information in the LOGIS system.
- Track and authorize the movement of movable assets, ensuring accurate data capture.
- Conduct quarterly and annual verification of movable assets across various offices.
- Maintain and update the Movable Assets Register on the LOGIS system.
- Manage the disposal of assets, maintaining records of redundant and unserviceable items.
- Coordinate the repair process for movable assets.
- Compile responses for audit queries within specified deadlines.
- Conduct monthly audits of the asset register and rectify discrepancies promptly.
- Verify request forms for accuracy concerning SCOA allocations and ICN’s.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of assets between BAS and LOGIS.
- Compile reconciled Annual Financial Statements for Movable Asset Management.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Extensive experience in asset management.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, including National Treasury Regulations and Supply Chain Management principles.
- Proficiency in financial business systems such as LOGIS and BAS.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with problem-solving abilities.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Personal attributes such as strong interpersonal skills, decision-making capabilities, and a hardworking, motivated attitude.
- Willingness to adapt to the work schedule as required by the directorate.
