What You’ll Do
- Account for all applications received from processing and cashier streams
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of submitted documents
- Ensure that all application forms are filled properly and check applicant data validity
- Track processed applications and print operating licenses
- Validate printed operating licenses and manage permit issuance
- Log calls with the National Land Transport Information System (NLTIS)
- Provide feedback to applicants regarding their application status through SMS notifications
- Consolidate monthly portfolios of evidence for permits and operating licenses
- Maintain accurate records of collected operating licenses and related documents
- Compile relevant reports for the unit and manage human resources effectively
What You’ll Need
- NQF level 6/7 qualification in Public Management, Public Administration, or related fields
- 1-2 years’ experience in the public transport management environment
- Knowledge of GPDRT policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation such as the NLTA
- Understanding of customer expectations and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Skills in customer management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities
- Initiative and awareness of diversity in the workplace
