What You’ll Do

  • Conduct investigations into allegations of fraud and corruption within the department.
  • Develop comprehensive investigation plans and conduct independent inquiries.
  • Analyse complaints and identify relevant legislation that may have been violated.
  • Interview complainants and key witnesses to gather background information.
  • Compile detailed investigation reports with findings, recommendations, and supporting evidence.
  • Facilitate anti-fraud and corruption awareness programs and training for department employees.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to ensure fair interpretation of policies.
  • Conduct training on professional ethics and support the ethics officer in managing compliance.
  • Perform administrative functions related to applications for remunerative work outside the public service.

What You’ll Need

  • Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
  • A National Diploma at NQF level 6 in Risk Management, Law, Internal Audit, Forensic Investigation, Juris Criminalis, Fraud and Ethics Management.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in fraud risk assessments, monitoring, and investigations.
  • A valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities).
  • Strong skills in investigation, report writing, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
