What You’ll Do

  • Organize venues for meetings and make necessary bookings.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence effectively.
  • Write and distribute minutes from meetings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with public bodies regarding administrative issues.
  • Provide secretariat support for functional steering committees according to EPWP standards.
  • Facilitate data capturing for the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure and associated public bodies.
  • Engage with municipalities and public bodies in the O.R. Tambo region.
  • Verify information for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for the unit.
  • Conduct monthly monitoring of captured information versus system data.
  • Visit sites to verify compliance with EPWP guidelines and accurately captured information.
  • Collect and manage registers and employment contracts for EPWP participants.
  • Ensure compliance templates are created for each project.
  • Facilitate procurement services for the EPWP Directorate.
  • Monitor budget allocations to prevent under- and overspending.
  • Handle procurement processes for accommodation, venues, and supplies, ensuring correct documentation.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and related legislation.
  • Understanding of EPWP phase 3 guidelines and the National Development Plan.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Skills in policy development are preferred.
