What You’ll Do

  • Liaise with patients and clients, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Manage follow-up bookings for outpatients using the Clinicom system.
  • Capture ICD10 codes and manage administrative tasks in the outpatient department.
  • Ensure all necessary documents are prepared and available for patient admissions.
  • Support the supervisor and colleagues with various administrative duties as needed.
  • Assist in managing material resources and hospital assets efficiently.
  • Handle daily patient processes and activities to enhance service delivery in OPD.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum educational qualification of a Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Relevant experience in a health-related environment.
  • Proficiency in using the Clinicom information system.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
  • Practical experience in MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as necessary.
