About the Role
The South African Navy is seeking a dedicated Administration Clerk Supervisor to join their HR Administration Support team based at the Naval Base in Simon’s Town. What You’ll Do
- Administer complex aspects of performance assessments for Defence Act and Public Service Act personnel.
- Verify the administration of disciplinary offenses on the mainframe system.
- Investigate grievances, drafting unit responses to ensure fair handling.
- Update and maintain education qualifications on the mainframe.
- Provide leadership and support to junior administrative staff, fostering a collaborative working environment.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
- At least three years’ experience in a Career/HR Administration environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in computer literacy with a solid understanding of mainframe systems.
- Leadership and management capabilities, with a focus on command and control knowledge.
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Mathematical ability and attention to detail.
- Self-discipline, initiative, and decision-making skills.
