What You’ll Do
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Senior Staff Officer Naval Chaplain Services (SSO NCS)
- Manage office supplies and ensure the availability of necessary materials
- Control and process incoming and outgoing mail and signals
- Prepare and distribute the SSO NCS’s monthly programme to all relevant parties
- Arrange transport and accommodation for SSO NCS’s visits
- Handle incoming telephone calls and direct queries to the appropriate personnel
- Register incoming and outgoing correspondence accurately
- Safeguard documents and maintain an organized filing system
- Draft routine documents as requested by the SSO NCS
- Process travel claims and manage currency reconciliation
- Oversee the procurement of stationery and refreshments
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification
- Computer literacy in the MS Office suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Understanding of secretarial and personal assistant functions
- Knowledge of general office administration and organization
- Innovative thinking to optimize secretarial services
- Excellent telephone etiquette and typing skills
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills
