What You’ll Do

  • Perform in-patient and out-patient administration duties following PGWC policies and procedures
  • Manage various computer-related tasks using systems such as Clinicom and Hectis
  • Handle reception tasks, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients
  • Collect and manage public money, including cash collection and banking
  • Oversee the admission, transfer, and discharge processes of patients according to hospital fees policies
  • Process charge entries and invoices in line with UPFS and PGWC billing procedures
  • Address patient queries through verbal, written, and telephonic communication
  • Conduct ICD10 coding and assist colleagues by covering their duties as needed

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum educational qualification of a Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy
  • Relevant experience in a Hospital Fees environment is preferred
  • Willingness to work shifts as required
  • Knowledge of Hospital Fees Memorandum 18, UPFS, HIS Clinicom, and Finance Instructions
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent accountability, independence, and computer literacy skills
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as a passed subject and /or Senior Certificate with experience / competencies that focus on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s) of the post.

Experience: Appropriate experience in a Hospital Fees environment.

Inherent requirement of the job: Must be willing to work shifts.

Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of the following: Hospital Fees Memorandum 18, UPFS, HIS Clinicom, Finance Instructions.

Strong sense of confidentiality.

Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to accept accountability, responsibility, work independently.

Computer literacy.

Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

Job Duties

In-patient and out-patient administration functions according to PGWC policies and procedures.

Clinicom, Billing, Hectis and other PGWC system computer duties.

Reception tasks.

Responsible for handling and receiving public money.

Cash Collection and Banking of State Money.

Admission, transfer and discharge of patients as per PGWC Hospital Fees policies and procedures.

Debiting of Charge Entries to invoices as per UPFS and PGWC billing procedures.

Attending to patient queries (verbal, written and telephonic).

ICD10 Coding.

Covering for colleagues in areas.

Salary

R237 453 per annum
