What You’ll Do

  • Acquire quotations using the Integrated Procurement System (IPS).
  • Procure assets through the LOGIS system.
  • Receive and capture asset receipts on the computer system, including details like serial numbers.
  • Mark and store assets according to established guidelines.
  • Move and place assets in designated areas as required.
  • Verify correct allocation of all assets on the asset register of the hospital or health facility.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of assets, including the physical uploading and unloading of trucks.
  • Drive a Code 10 truck and other government vehicles, ensuring safe transportation of assets between the warehouse and health facilities.
  • Implement cost containment during transport and maintain the safety of vehicles and assets.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics/Mathematics Literacy and/or Accountancy as a passed subject.
  • Relevant experience in driving a Code 10 truck, Asset Management, and procurement processes.
  • A valid Code C1/Code 10 unendorsed driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Computer skills and basic calculation abilities.
  • Understanding of Procurement and Asset Management systems and related regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of traffic regulations applicable to a Code C1/Code 10 driver’s license and PDP.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capability to perform physical duties related to asset movement.
