About the Opportunity
The BASF South Africa Trust Bursary is dedicated to empowering Black female students by providing comprehensive financial support for their tertiary education. This bursary is available for those pursuing Undergraduate and Honours degrees in Chemistry, Engineering, and selected Science fields for the 2027 academic year. By alleviating financial burdens, the bursary enables students to focus on their academic achievements and career aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
Successful applicants will be expected to maintain a strong academic record and demonstrate commitment to their chosen field of study. Participation in any required interviews or additional information requests is also necessary as part of the selection process.
Requirements/Qualifications
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be Black female South African citizens as per BBBEE codes
- Be currently completing Matric in 2026 or have completed it
- Intend to study an eligible Undergraduate or Honours qualification in Chemistry, Engineering, or Sciences
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited South African tertiary institution
- Demonstrate financial need with a household income not exceeding R630,000 per annum
- Have a strong academic record and no criminal record
- Not be receiving another bursary or scholarship for 2027
