What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical survey services and support for various projects.
  • Conduct surveys and perform survey computations to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain, archive, and supply survey documents for evaluation and approval.
  • Implement GIS and mapping services to support diverse initiatives.
  • Promote safety practices in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate existing technical manuals and incorporate new technologies.
  • Supervise and guide Candidate Survey Technicians and related personnel.
  • Compile and submit reports as needed and contribute to the operational plan.
  • Develop and maintain databases to streamline survey operations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and research on new survey techniques.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Survey or Cartography (NQF Level 6).
  • Compulsory registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) as a Survey Technician or Surveyor.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification technical survey experience.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of survey design, project management, and legal compliance.
  • Excellent decision-making, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer-aided survey applications and technical report writing.
  • Ability to manage teams effectively and foster a high-performance culture.
