What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical survey services and support for various projects.
  • Maintain, archive, and supply survey documents for evaluation and approval.
  • Conduct surveys and perform detailed survey computations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote safety initiatives.
  • Evaluate technical manuals and standard drawings to implement new technologies.
  • Offer Geographic Information System (GIS) and mapping services.
  • Compile reports and provide inputs into budgeting processes.
  • Develop and maintain databases relevant to survey operations.
  • Supervise and mentor Candidate Survey Technicians and related personnel.
  • Engage in research and development to advance survey techniques.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Survey or Cartography (NQF Level 6).
  • Compulsory registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) as a Survey Technician or Surveyor.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification technical survey experience.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of survey design, project management, and legal compliance.
  • Strong skills in decision-making, leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided survey applications and technical report writing.
