What You’ll Do

  • Conduct needs assessments to align goods and services with hospital requirements.
  • Develop clear specifications for the quality and standards of required goods and services.
  • Ensure compliance with budget constraints while analyzing the supplying industry.
  • Perform market research to identify potential suppliers and assess compliance.
  • Manage contract agreements and service level agreements to mitigate risks.
  • Oversee the monitoring of supplier compliance and address any non-compliance issues.
  • Maintain a central database of contracts and report on compliance and value for money.
  • Collaborate with provincial treasury regarding non-performing suppliers.
  • Prepare reports on irregular expenditure and ensure risk management practices are followed.
  • Implement and manage the procurement plan effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • Degree or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a relevant qualification.
  • 1-2 years of clerical experience in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code 8/10).
  • Basic computer literacy and knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Batho Pele Principles and public service values.
  • Handwriting must be clear and legible.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures is an added advantage.
