The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Treasury is seeking a Legal Administration Officer to join its dedicated team at the Head Office in Pietermaritzburg. What You’ll Do
- Interpret, draft, and edit a wide variety of legal documents such as contracts and guarantees.
- Provide litigation advisory services and legal opinions to the department.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and keep abreast of legal developments.
- Conduct legal research to support departmental initiatives and policy issues.
- Develop and draft provincial legislation as required by the department.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of departmental policies.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent qualification.
- For MR3, at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience.
- For MR4, a minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience.
- For MR5, at least 8 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience.
- Admission as an Attorney or Advocate is required.
- Proficiency in Word processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, and email software programs.
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
