What You’ll Do

  • Administer the procurement of goods and services efficiently.
  • Process orders and manage inventory to ensure availability.
  • Maintain accurate records and reconcile invoices for smooth operations.
  • Compile and consolidate the Demand Management Plan (DMP) and Procurement Plan.
  • Categorize commodities and monitor the availability of funds.
  • Conduct variance, market, and industry analysis to support decision-making.
  • Draft specifications and terms of reference for required goods and services.
  • Track submissions related to specifications and terms of reference.
  • Assist in the effective management of state assets and inventory control.
  • Coordinate acquisition management services within the component.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven competency in the core functions related to supply chain management.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other official language.
  • Citizenship of the Republic of South Africa, with documentary proof required.
  • A Grade 12/Senior Certificate/NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of four years’ experience in a related field.
  • An applicable three-year Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6 or higher) is advantageous.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to act independently and professionally.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, organizing, and administrative skills.
