What You’ll Do

  • Oversee effective Supply Chain Management processes related to procurement.
  • Authorize procurement applications according to established delegation protocols.
  • Prepare documentation for Resource Committee meetings to facilitate decision-making.
  • Compile, register, and conduct determination tests for procurement.
  • Maintain and update the Irregular Expenditure register to ensure compliance.
  • Analyze demand and plan for provisioning and non-provisioning stores effectively.
  • Coordinate and manage the supplier database and act as a nodal point for supplier interactions.
  • Facilitate the rotation of suppliers from the Central Supplier Database (CSD).

What You’ll Need

  • Proven competency in the core functions of supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other official South African language.
  • A minimum of four years’ experience relevant to the position.
  • A Grade 12/Senior Certificate/NCV Level 4 or an equivalent qualification.
  • A three-year Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6 or higher) in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s license for light motor vehicles is an added benefit.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with general computer literacy (MS Office suite).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure, with excellent planning and organizational skills.
