What You’ll Do
- Deliver comprehensive animal health services and disease control measures.
- Manage and analyze epidemiological data to inform public health decisions.
- Conduct veterinary laboratory tests and provide diagnostic services.
- Ensure compliance with public health and food safety regulations.
- Engage with stakeholders through extension services to promote best practices.
- Prepare for and respond to animal health emergencies and outbreaks.
- Handle administrative tasks related to animal health management.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc/BVMCh or equivalent) recognized by the South African Veterinary Council.
- Compulsory registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC).
- A minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience.
- A valid driving license (Code B or higher).
- Strong knowledge of infectious diseases and fieldwork experience.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure outbreak environments.
- Excellent computer literacy and analytical skills.
- Strong communication abilities and financial management knowledge.

Requirements
An appropriate Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc/BVMCh or equivalent qualification) recognised by the South African Veterinary Council; Compulsory registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC); A minimum of 1 year post qualification experience; A valid (Code B or higher) driving license.Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Extensive fieldwork and exposure to infectious diseases; Ability to work in high-pressure outbreak environments; Physical mobility and ability to conduct inspections and investigations; Availability for after-hours and emergency response.
