What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate training and capacity-building initiatives for Stats SA and National Statistical System (NSS) units.
  • Develop and implement standards advocacy materials, campaigns, and publications related to official statistics.
  • Enhance digital tools and instruments used for standards advocacy.
  • Implement statistical standards advocacy programs within Stats SA and its partner entities.
  • Foster communication between standards owners, users, and implementing entities to ensure effective collaboration.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma (NQF 6) in Statistics, Demography, Social Sciences, or Economics.
  • Up to 12 months of experience in the statistical production process or a related field.
  • Training in Official Statistics and the MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent facilitation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High degree of computer literacy and research capabilities.
  • Knowledge of fundamental principles of official statistics and relevant legislation.
