What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized social welfare and community development services within defined areas of expertise.
- Manage service delivery areas to ensure effective and efficient service provision.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and plan community programs and interventions.
- Conduct and oversee social welfare and community development research.
- Supervise administrative functions and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about developments in the social welfare field to enhance service delivery.
- Lead and manage a team of social workers, providing guidance and support.
What You’ll Need
- A formal tertiary qualification in Social Work, such as a Bachelor of Social Work, enabling professional registration with SACSSP.
- Mandatory registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Worker.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in social work post-registration.
- Strong knowledge of social welfare legislation, community development theories, and assessment tools.
- Excellent skills in project planning, people management, communication, and problem-solving.
