What You’ll Need
- A qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
- Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
- For Grade 2 positions, a minimum of 10 years’ experience in nursing is required.
- For Grade 3 positions, a minimum of 20 years’ experience in nursing is necessary.
- Willingness to work shifts, including night duty, weekends, and public holidays.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with knowledge of relevant nursing legislation and protocols.

Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
Experience: Grade 1: None.
Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
Inherent requirements of the job: Will be required to work shifts, night duty, weekends, public holidays as well as overtime.
Willingness to rotate within the hospital.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to function/make decisions independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Good communication and interpersonal relationships.
Knowledge to relevant nursing legislation, policies and protocols of the Department of Health, Western Cape.
