What You’ll Do
- Assist social workers in delivering social work services to vulnerable individuals and groups.
- Support the care, protection, and development of families and communities through departmental programs.
- Help address social issues that may lead to instability, ensuring timely intervention.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities to enhance your skills.
- Perform administrative tasks to support social workers, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate and completion of a learnership allowing registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Auxiliary Worker.
- Registration with the SACSSP as a Social Auxiliary Worker.
- A valid code B driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of human behaviour, social issues, and the South African social welfare context.
- Basic understanding of financial matters related to social auxiliary work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven computer literacy and ability to manage information effectively.
