What You’ll Do

  • Conduct thorough legal research, including comparative studies on court rules.
  • Draft and review rules of court, court procedures, and related memoranda.
  • Facilitate stakeholder consultations to gather insights and feedback on proposed changes.
  • Review and amend existing court rules regularly, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.
  • Mentor and coach junior legal advisors on legal research and court rules, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Submit drafted rules and amendments to the Rules Board and relevant committees for approval.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF level 7 legal qualification or LLB Degree recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant post-qualification litigation or advisory experience.
  • Admission as an Attorney or Advocate.
  • In-depth knowledge of Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and the Criminal Justice System.
  • Familiarity with the Public Service Legislative and Governance Framework, along with court rules and procedures.
  • A valid driver’s license.
