What You’ll Do

  • Implement and manage recruitment and selection processes within the department.
  • Align job adverts with specifications and ensure correct formatting.
  • Place adverts across various platforms, including the DPSA circular and newspapers.
  • Coordinate the shortlisting and interview processes, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Serve as a scriber during shortlisting and interviews, documenting all necessary information.
  • Conduct personnel suitability checks and verify qualifications of recommended candidates.
  • Ensure proper recording and management of all received application forms.
  • Arrange competency assessments for recommended candidates for SMS posts.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings and compiling minutes.
  • Supervise and develop staff, ensuring quality control and efficient performance management.

What You’ll Need

  • A three-year National Diploma in Management Sciences, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a relevant qualification at NQF level 6.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a Human Resource environment.
  • Knowledge of legislation governing the Public Service, including the Public Service Act and Labour Relations Act.
  • Understanding of HRM policies and practices.
  • Strong computer literacy and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective time management and presentation skills.
