The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is seeking a dedicated Senior Admin Officer: Acquisition Management to join their team in Pretoria, Gqeberha, or Cape Town. What You’ll Do
- Prepare and manage tender documentation for advertising and bidding processes.
- Assist in compiling bid documents in compliance with standard requirements.
- Ensure tender documentation aligns with Supply Chain Management (SCM) prescripts and processes.
- Review and integrate compliance requirements into tender documentation.
- Distribute draft tender adverts for verification and submit them for placement in relevant publications.
- Monitor the validity of closed tenders and provide administrative support during the bidding process.
- Attend bid specification committee meetings to ensure compliance with SCM processes.
- Render advice during tender/bid briefing sessions and assist in evaluating bid documents.
- Maintain accurate records of bidders and manage logistics for bid committee meetings.
- Compile and distribute evaluation reports and address queries on tender administration.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in Construction or Infrastructure Procurement is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management Framework and relevant legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and the ability to work under pressure.
