What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and manage occupational health and safety risks within the workplace.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate incident reporting and preliminary investigations following workplace incidents.
  • Oversee facility compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and norms.
  • Maintain accurate compliance documentation and facilitate the establishment and functionality of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee.
  • Provide training to employees and offer advisory support on OHS matters.
  • Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly reports on health and safety activities.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant NQF level 6 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Three to four years of experience in an Occupational Health and Safety environment.
  • A valid unexpired driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of the OHS Act 85 of 1993 and related regulations.
  • Good planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and function independently.
