What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain an external stakeholder contact database to strengthen communication channels.
  • Monitor media coverage related to the GPAA/GEPF, providing analyses and recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate and oversee media briefings, ensuring that all proceedings are recorded for evaluation purposes.
  • Create platforms and organize workshops to enhance stakeholder engagement and build relationships with various departments.
  • Assist in the implementation of communication strategies, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the GPAA.
  • Research and write articles for publications aimed at members and pensioners, drafting press releases and speaking notes as needed.
  • Provide logistical support for outreach platforms, campaigns, and administrative activities within the communication unit.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant B degree, National Diploma, or B Tech in Communications or a related field, with at least three years of experience in media relations.
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to draft articles, media statements, and publications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with the media landscape and campaign execution.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A creative mindset and a solid understanding of the GEPF/GPAA processes and the financial sector.
