The Department of Public Service and Administration invites applications for the position of Senior Change Practitioner: Change Management, based in Pretoria Head Office. What You’ll Do
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops to boost employee engagement.
- Analyze data and draft comprehensive reports for Change Management projects.
- Identify opportunities for organisational development interventions and advise management accordingly.
- Conduct advocacy campaigns on change management initiatives.
- Assess the impact of change initiatives and prepare recommendations for management.
- Engage stakeholders to secure buy-in for change initiatives.
- Promote the importance and benefits of change management processes.
- Provide regular feedback to stakeholders regarding the progress of change initiatives and associated risks.
- Evaluate change initiatives post-implementation to ensure effectiveness.
- Assist with the implementation of the Employment Equity plan and related administrative tasks.
- Support the development and coordination of survey materials to assess departmental culture.
- Act as a problem solver and coach for staff during culture change investigations.
- Manage client relations effectively throughout the change management process.
- Collaborate on the development of change management strategies and materials.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant three-year National Diploma/Degree in Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development, Management Services, or Human Resource Management.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in Change Management and Transformation, or five years of relevant experience in a similar environment.
- A post-graduate qualification or equivalent, along with a PROSCI Change Management certificate, will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with the ADKAR model.
- Comprehensive understanding of Change/Transformation legislation and practices.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent organisational, project management, and document management skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
- A customer-oriented approach with problem-solving and facilitation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize urgent tasks while working collaboratively within a team.
