What You’ll Do
- Provide financial management services and facilitate the preparation of the annual budget in compliance with regulations.
- Compile and manage various financial plans, including the Demand Management Plan (DMP) and Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).
- Oversee the efficient utilization of funds and ensure accurate documentation of procedures for accessing funds.
- Coordinate budgeting, audit, and financial functions, ensuring smooth operations within the department.
- Administer procurement processes and maintain the asset register, ensuring compliance with departmental policies.
- Supervise and develop staff through performance agreements, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Compile reports and respond to internal audits and queries, ensuring operational transparency.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Public Administration, Public Management, Business Administration, or a relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative environment.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Strong knowledge of Public Service Regulations, financial procedures, and Treasury regulations.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and effectively in a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
