Sakhisizwe Municipality is offering two Finance Internship positions under the esteemed Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme 2026. This structured two-year programme provides a comprehensive blend of professional training and practical workplace experience, designed to enhance your skills in the Municipal Budget and Treasury Office.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Intern, you will engage in various educational and workplace assignments, gaining exposure to budget administration, treasury operations, financial reporting, and more. You will also learn about municipal finance legislation and compliance with financial policies.

Requirements/Qualifications

Applicants should be South African graduates aged between 21 and 35 years, holding a Grade 12 certificate and a three-year bachelor’s degree or National Diploma with majors in Accounting, Economics, or Finance. Additional studies in Risk Management, Auditing, or related fields are essential.

Benefits

Interns will receive a remuneration of R83,911.56 per annum. The programme may also lead to credits or a qualification in Municipal Finance Management, aligned with the Municipal Minimum Competency Regulations.
