What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive secretariat support services to the Director.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely recording and filing.
  • Maintain and update the Director’s diary daily, sending reminders as necessary.
  • Organize meeting logistics, including scheduling, venue bookings, and sending invitations.
  • Take minutes during meetings and distribute them promptly for feedback.
  • Assist with accommodation arrangements for the Director and complete travel claims.
  • Oversee the reception area and handle the procurement of goods and services for the Directorate.
  • Prepare the Director’s weekly plan every Friday to ensure smooth operations.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 qualification or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement procedures and administrative work.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and document management.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, including time management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in typing, bookkeeping, and filling tasks.
