What You’ll Do

  • Safeguard current, closed, and terminated departmental records
  • File and retrieve records in compliance with the National Archives Act
  • Develop and manage all registers utilized by the registry
  • Ensure compliance with relevant acts and regulations
  • Render efficient registry services to internal and external clients
  • Implement records management policies and procedures
  • Maintain proper control and custody of records
  • Provide recommendations for archiving or disposing of files
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Compile reports regarding records management

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Recognised Higher Certificate or National Diploma in records management or a related field
  • A valid driver’s license is an advantage
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the National Archives and Records Services Act and related frameworks
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Understanding of the records management policy, procedures, and manuals
