The Department of Health is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Registrar (Medical) in Paediatrics, with multiple posts available at Tygerberg Hospital in Parow Valley, as well as at Karl Bremer Hospital, Paarl Hospital, Khayelitsha Hospital, and Worcester Hospital. What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care in Paediatrics and Neonatology.
- Handle day and after-hours clinical responsibilities.
- Engage in clinical teaching and administration within the department.
- Participate in research initiatives to enhance paediatric care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification that allows for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
- Current registration with HPCSA for independent practice.
- Experience in general paediatrics and/or neonatology is essential.
- Ability to function independently at a general practitioner level.
- A Diploma in Child Health (or equivalent) and FCPaed part 1 is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
