What You’ll Do
- Provide safe and effective Plastic and Reconstructive surgical care to patients.
- Manage peri-operative care for patients undergoing various procedures, including trauma and burns.
- Participate in Intensive Care and High Care management when necessary.
- Engage in the training of interns, medical students, nursing staff, and paramedics.
- Conduct research and audits related to Plastic Surgery and Wound Care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Handle after-hours duties for incoming acute patients and inpatients.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
- Current registration with HPCSA for Independent Practice.
- A valid (code B/EB) driver’s licence.
- Previous clinical experience in Surgery, particularly in Plastic Surgery, Burns, Hand Surgery, and Trauma.
- FCS Part 1 certification and a current ATLS certificate.
- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to research and continuous learning in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
