What You’ll Do
- Deliver clinical services, including patient assessments and operative interventions in orthopaedics.
- Engage in teaching and supervising medical students and junior staff.
- Participate in innovative research initiatives aimed at improving orthopedic practices.
- Lead and contribute to clinical governance activities to ensure quality patient care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
- Manage administrative tasks and maintain clinical documentation efficiently.
- Participate in after-hours call systems and mandatory commuted overtime as required.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
- Current registration with the HPCSA for independent medical practice.
- Successful completion of the CMSA 1B Intermediate examination.
- Demonstrated experience in Orthopaedic surgical services with a clinical logbook.
- Strong ability to work under pressure within a clinical team.
- Administrative and IT skills relevant to medical practice.
- A proactive attitude towards continuous professional development and research engagement.
