What You’ll Do

• Deliver clinical services, including patient assessments and operative interventions in orthopaedics.
• Engage in teaching and supervising medical students and junior staff.
• Participate in innovative research initiatives aimed at improving orthopedic practices.
• Lead and contribute to clinical governance activities to ensure quality patient care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Manage administrative tasks and maintain clinical documentation efficiently.
• Participate in after-hours call systems and mandatory commuted overtime as required.

What You’ll Need

• An appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
• Current registration with the HPCSA for independent medical practice.
• Successful completion of the CMSA 1B Intermediate examination.
• Demonstrated experience in Orthopaedic surgical services with a clinical logbook.
• Strong ability to work under pressure within a clinical team.
• Administrative and IT skills relevant to medical practice.
• A proactive attitude towards continuous professional development and research engagement.
