What You’ll Do

• Provide safe and effective imaging services for patients.
• Learn and apply the principles of diagnostic radiology and imaging.
• Acquire clinical skills necessary for diagnostic imaging.
• Participate in academic activities and teaching responsibilities.
• Assist in the training of interns, medical students, and nursing staff.
• Undertake a research project to complete an MMed degree.
• Supervise and assess diagnostic imaging practices.
• Ensure the safety of both personnel and patients during procedures.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and discussions.
• Engage in research and audits related to diagnostic radiology.

What You’ll Need

• An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner.
• Current registration with the HPCSA for Independent Practice.
• A valid ATLS/ACLS certificate.
• Completion of Part 1 FCA Rad (Diag) SA.
• Experience in Internal Medicine or critical care under supervision of a Specialist.
• Effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Clinical experience since obtaining the MBChB degree.
• Knowledge of diagnostic radiology and safe use of imaging equipment.
