What You’ll Do

  • Ensure compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and related financial policies.
  • Implement financial administration and accounting policies and processes.
  • Manage the collection and analysis of financial information and accounting services.
  • Verify and process financial documents accurately.
  • Oversee financial deductions and related processes.
  • Engage in problem-solving and decision-making to enhance financial operations.
  • Lead and manage teams effectively, fostering collaboration across departments.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant NQF level 6 qualification in Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Accounting, Commerce, Cost Management & Accounting, or Auditing as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a related field, with at least three (3) years at a lower management or supervisory level.
  • A valid vehicle driver’s license (except for individuals with disabilities).
  • Strong knowledge of the Public Service legislative environment, policies, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams.
  • High attention to detail, organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
