About the Role
The Department of Agriculture is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director: Financial Management & Reporting based in Sekhukhune East. What You’ll Do
- Coordinate financial planning and budgeting processes to align with departmental objectives.
- Compile budget estimates and assist in project planning to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Monitor and report on expenditure trends and prepare financial reports.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank and ledger accounts.
- Manage revenue compilation for certification processes.
- Attend to audit queries and provide requested information promptly.
- Analyze and interpret monthly management reports to support decision-making.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant NQF level 6 qualification in Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Commerce, Cost Management & Accounting, or Auditing as recognized by SAQA.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
- Valid vehicle driver’s license (except for people with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of the Public Service legislative environment, policies, regulations, and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Proven analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
