About the Role

What You’ll Do
- Provide secretarial support by managing incoming calls, taking messages, and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members.
- Welcome visitors to the museum, assess their needs, and guide them to relevant personnel.
- Type and prepare documents for the office, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
- Operate office equipment, including fax machines and photocopiers, to support daily operations.
- Assist with subscriptions and group bookings for museum events.
- Liaise with travel agencies to arrange travel for staff members.
- Organize meetings and events, ensuring all logistical details are handled smoothly.
- Process travel and subsistence claims for staff.
- Draft routine correspondence and reports to support office communication.
- Manage procurement of standard office supplies, maintaining inventory levels.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate.
- An NQF level 6 qualification in Office Administration, Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, Management Assistance, Public Administration, or Tourism Management is an advantage.
- Excellent language skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and related systems.
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of reliability.
- Excellent written communication skills and good telephone etiquette.
- Ability to act with tact and discretion, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Good grooming and presentation standards.
