What You’ll Do
- Reconcile travel accounts, including air transport, accommodation, car rentals, and shuttle services.
- Process payments and ensure timely settlements of travel-related accounts.
- Address and resolve queries related to payments from various stakeholders.
- Identify and report on any irregular, fruitless, and wasteful expenditure.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with travel policies and regulations.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate NQF Level 6 qualification in Public Management, Administration, Procurement, Finance, or Transport and Logistics Management.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in travel procurement, finance, or a payment and reconciliation environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to take minutes and prepare reports.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office, internet use, and email communication.
- Knowledge of financial management principles, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and travel policies within the government.
- A positive and approachable disposition in all communications, demonstrating confidence in interactions with officials at all levels.
