What You’ll Do

  • Provide optimal nursing care in accordance with established standards and legal frameworks.
  • Utilize human and financial resources effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Participate in the training, development, and research activities within the nursing department.
  • Support the nursing service and the institution by delivering essential services.
  • Uphold ethical standards while promoting professional growth and self-development.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive rehabilitation service delivery.
  • Contribute to discharge planning for effective patient integration into home and community settings.
  • Assist nursing staff in applying nursing care processes and procedures effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 qualification or equivalent qualification allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
  • Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse or General Nurse.
  • For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of experience in nursing post-registration.
  • For Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of experience in nursing post-registration.
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing processes, procedures, and relevant legal and ethical practices.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office and MS Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
