What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate and specialized nursing care in the Trauma & Emergency department.
- Identify patient care needs and develop comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Supervise and support clinical staff in surgical and medical procedures.
- Efficiently manage human, material, and physical resources within the department.
- Maintain and promote professional growth and ethical standards among nursing personnel.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and protocols in public service.
What You’ll Need
- A Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent, allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Medical and Surgical Nursing Science, Critical Care Nursing, or Trauma and Emergency.
- Grade 1: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in nursing after SANC registration.
- Grade 2: Minimum of 14 years’ experience in nursing after SANC registration, with at least 10 years in a relevant specialty.
- Strong leadership, planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, including day and night duty, weekends, and public holidays.
