What You’ll Do
- Conduct health assessments and screenings in schools according to the School Health Policy.
- Provide on-site health services to learners, addressing immediate health needs.
- Refer students with health challenges for further management and follow-up care.
- Conduct home visits to provide necessary interventions when required.
- Collaborate with educational institutions and social workers to promote health education.
- Participate in parents’ meetings to raise awareness about health promotion in schools.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
- Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse (e.g. Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
- At least two years of post-Community Service experience.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Extensive knowledge of health care services, particularly in Primary Health Care and Community-based Health initiatives.
- Familiarity with policies regarding the provision of School Health Services.
