What You’ll Do

• Conduct health assessments and screenings in schools according to the School Health Policy.
• Provide on-site health services to learners, addressing immediate health needs.
• Refer students with health challenges for further management and follow-up care.
• Conduct home visits to provide necessary interventions when required.
• Collaborate with educational institutions and social workers to promote health education.
• Participate in parents’ meetings to raise awareness about health promotion in schools.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
• Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse (e.g. Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
• At least two years of post-Community Service experience.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Extensive knowledge of health care services, particularly in Primary Health Care and Community-based Health initiatives.
• Familiarity with policies regarding the provision of School Health Services.
