What You’ll Do
- Supervise and manage the daily activities of porters within the mortuary department.
- Oversee the management of mortuary equipment, assets, and consumables.
- Ensure effective mortuary administration, including the handling of bodies with care and respect.
- Provide support to Support Services Managers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Uphold applicable death administration legislation and relevant policies to maintain compliance.
- Implement infection prevention and control measures to ensure a safe environment.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum educational qualification of General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) or Grade 9 / STD7.
- Relevant supervisory experience in staff management and mortuary administration.
- A valid driver’s license is essential for this role.
- Willingness to work night shifts, public holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, and Word.
- Knowledge of applicable death administration legislation and infection control protocols.

Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) / Grade 9 / STD7.Experience: Appropriate supervisory experience of staff and mortuary administration.
Inherent requirements of the job: A Valid driver’s licence.
Willingness to work night shifts, public holidays, weekends, overtime and be on standby.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Computer skills (MS Office, Excel and Word).
Knowledge of applicable death administration legislations and relevant policies.
Knowledge of infection prevention and control.
