What You’ll Do

• Perform advanced medical interventions and manage complex medical emergencies.
• Provide interfacility transport for critically ill or injured patients.
• Ensure quality and efficient emergency care within defined timeframes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic patient care reports (EPCR).
• Deliver continuous, effective emergency care to the public.
• Participate in clinical leadership sessions and uphold your Clinical Portfolio of Evidence.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance patient-centred practices across EMS.
• Monitor service delivery against established benchmarks for quality and efficiency.

What You’ll Need

• Successful completion of the Critical Care Assistant (CCA) programme or equivalent.
• Registration with the HPCSA as a Paramedic with a relevant qualification.
• Extensive operational frontline experience in critical care.
• Valid code C1 driver’s license and professional driver’s permit (PrDP).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in emergency care protocols.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Previous critical care retrieval experience is preferred.
