What You’ll Do

• Provide overall supervision and leadership for nursing staff in the operating theatre and CSSD.
• Coordinate specialized nursing care while adhering to legal and professional standards.
• Manage resources effectively to achieve departmental objectives.
• Monitor and manage absenteeism among staff to maintain optimal operations.
• Facilitate training and research initiatives to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Implement and promote quality assurance programs, focusing on patient safety and infection control.
• Support nursing services and maintain ethical standards and professional growth.
• Participate in after-hours supervision and respond to operational needs as necessary.
• Contribute to the realization of the Hospital Operational Plan through active involvement in performance reporting and monitoring.

What You’ll Need

• Diploma/Degree in Nursing as a Professional/Registered Nurse accredited with the SANC.
• Post-basic qualification in Medical & Surgical Operating Theatre/Perioperative Nursing Science (minimum one year duration).
• At least 9 years of recognizable nursing experience post-registration, with 5 years in a specialized setting.
• A Diploma/Degree in Nursing Management is an advantage.
• Mandatory computer literacy and knowledge of Health, Nursing, and Public Service legislation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
