What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage the Paediatric Surgical and Oncology Unit, ensuring high standards of patient care.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Monitor and manage resources to ensure efficient use of staff and materials.
• Advocate for patient rights and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide mentorship and training for nursing staff and nursing students.
• Implement disaster management strategies and health promotion activities.
• Maintain clinical governance and uphold nursing standards.
• Participate in weekend and night duties as needed to support nursing services.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate/Grade 12 and Basic R425 qualification in nursing.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
• A post-basic qualification in Child Nursing or Oncology Nursing Science.
• Minimum of 9 years experience in nursing, with 5 years in a specialty area.
• At least 3 years of management experience in a nursing context.
• Strong knowledge of nursing care processes, legal frameworks, and public health strategies.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer literacy to support service delivery.
